London Buses route N279 is a Transport for London contracted night-bus route in London, United Kingdom. The service is currently contracted to Arriva London.

History[]

London Buses route N279 was introduced in 1994, replacing N90 between Victoria and Hammond Street. Back in 1998, there were journeys continuing out into the countryside to Upshire, but it was withdrawn in 15 October 1999. It was also withdrawn between Trafalgar Square and Victoria on 16 October 2004.

It once ran via St Pancras, King's Cross & Euston but due to Pancras Road being a one way system it was rerouted via Eversholt Street and Hampstead Road in 2006.

On 15 October 2011, Arriva London have retained route N279 and brand new Alexander Dennis Enviro400s were introduced.
